Shops opened this morning, the last Sunday of the year, at 11 a.m. and will remain open in most cases until 6 p.m.
Department stores and most supermarkets also opened at 11 a.m. but will stay open until 8 p.m.
Stores will continue operating on Monday and Tuesday under the holiday schedule but will remain closed on Wednesday, January 1, and Thursday, January 2, with only a few exceptions.
