More than 20 students from two Athens high schools who are on a school trip to the Cretan city of Hania have been admitted to the emergency department of the local hospital with gastrointestinal problems.
Local media said that since Tuesday evening dozens of students were rushed to hospital, most showing symptoms of diarrhea and some others also a temperature.
Hospital staff took samples from the students, who are staying at the same hotel, in an effort to identify the cause of their illness.
All the students have been discharged.
