Medical Body Demands Withdrawal of Black Friday Medical Adverts

The ISA said the company encourages citizens to use its platform for remote medical diagnoses and the issuing of medical opinions and certificates, presenting these services as commercial offers, discounts or gifts in connection with Black Friday.

In its letter, the association stressed that such advertising practices violate the provisions of the Code of Medical Ethics, mislead the public about proper medical practice and undermine the dignity of the medical profession.

The ISA also emphasised that medical services cannot be treated as ordinary consumer products, as medical procedures must comply with strict scientific and ethical standards, with the protection of patients’ health as their primary objective.

The association has called on the company to immediately remove the online advertisements promoting remote diagnoses, medical opinions, certificates and related special offers.

It warned that it would pursue all available legal action if the company failed to comply.
