Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at a rehab facility in Los Angeles.
TMZ cites the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as saying he died on Sunday, local time. An autopsy has not yet been completed.
A family representative told TMZ: “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
Presley was the brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber, who appears in the FX series The Shards. Last month, while promoting the show, Kaia spoke to Vogue about her brother’s struggle with addiction.
“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” she said. “I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”
