Greece Wins Second Gold Medal at Balkan Championship


Greece won its second gold medal at this year’s Balkan Championship, which is taking place at the Ippos Club in Thessaloniki and concludes on Sunday.

The Greek team won gold in the Children’s Team Competition, with Myrto Spentzou riding Rebel, Elisavet Anastasiadou riding Spider 28, Antonis Giatzoglou riding Hellia du Ruisseau and Alia Kourkoumeli riding Helia de Latour.

The Greek riders delivered strong performances in both rounds and finished without a single penalty point to claim first place.

Romania finished second with two penalty points, while Turkey took third place with 12.

In the Junior Team Competition, Romania claimed first place without a penalty point. Turkey finished second with eight points, followed by Bulgaria in third with 12.

Greece, represented by Vasiliki Baliousti with Helsi d’Amaury, Semeli Laiou with Grey Leo, Konstantinos Karydis with Capitol Gold and Kostantza Andronikou Kalyva with J. Clearway, finished fourth.

The final day of competition on Sunday features the individual finals across all categories.
