US Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle visited the Albanian capital Tirana, where she met Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and attended a ceremony for the signing of a 20-year agreement for the supply of liquified natural gas from the US.
In a post on X on Tuesday, Guilfoyle said she was “honored to travel to Tirana to advance [President Trump’s] energy agenda and join PM Edi Rama to participate in a signing ceremony of a historic deal between Albania, Venture Global and Aktor LNG USA on a 20-year US LNG agreement. This $6 billion commitment strengthens energy security – and national security – across the entire region.”
“We are proud to build on the excellent work of Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and the National Energy Dominance Council. When the US, Albania and Greece work together, this region is more connected, more secure and more prosperous,” she added.
