The recurring phenomenon of infrastructure projects starting with the knowledge that their timetable will be extended once, twice and three times, is not only offensive to the citizens who suffer. It also has a real cost in terms of disruption to the city’s economic activity and lost working hours. 

In particular, the projects on Athens’ waterfront, one of the places where timely interventions could have led to a significant improvement in the quality of life, have become something of a black hole, despite the efforts of the regional governor.
