A four-year-old boy was being treated in intensive care Tuesday after being mauled by a dog in a village on Crete.
Local reports said the child was taken to hospital in the city of Hania with extensive bites in the face and neck.
The attack occurred in the yard of the boy’s house in the village of Vatolakos, and the dog that attacked him was in the care of his relatives, reports said. The precise circumstances are unclear.
