A man was discovered unconscious at a house in the greater Patras area of western Greece early Sunday morning, after emergency services responded to reports of a fire at the property.
Firefighters arriving at the scene, in the suburb of Aktaio, entered the scorched residence and located the man inside. During their search, they also found a shotgun within the fire-damaged house.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
