A 17-year-old youth has been arrested on Zakynthos for robbing a 30-year-old woman at knifepoint.
The minor, reportedly driving his mother’s car, approached a 30-year-old Mexican woman residing in Zakynthos. Threatening her with a knife, he stole her mobile phone and headphones, estimated to be valued at a total of €1,500. To conceal his identity, he wore a motorcycle helmet.
According to state broadcaster ERT, the stolen items and the knife used in the robbery were recovered during investigations following the minor’s arrest. The search, conducted in the presence of a judicial officer, took place at the juvenile’s home and other locations.
The 17-year-old suspect has been charged with robbery and violating gun laws, while his mother was also arrested for neglecting her parental duties.
The arrested minor was led to the prosecutor of the Zakynthos Plenary Court.
