While the main shareholder of the Thessaloniki Port Authority was preparing to buy 67% of Volos Port Authority, as it had prevailed in the relevant tender, the government canceled the tender process citing public interest reasons.
“We are closely monitoring recent developments, especially in relation to the port of Volos; we are carefully evaluating and weighing our next steps,” Kyril Louis-Dreyfus told Kathimerini.
He is a member of the billionaire Louis-Dreyfus family, which appeared a month and a half ago, through LeonidsPort, to claim a seat at the table where the future of the strategically important port of Thessaloniki will be discussed.
