Police announced on Monday the arrest of 19 individuals involved in violent clashes during a football match at Olympic Stadium (OAKA) on Sunday.
The charge of attempted homicide has also been filed against an unidentified suspect.
The clashes broke out between Panathinaikos supporters from fan clubs of various areas due to an ongoing dispute over control of the organized fan section.
During the violence, a man of Armenian descent was stabbed. Police sources indicate that he is linked to the fan club on Alexandras Avenue.
According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), approximately 100 fans gathered outside OAKA and ambushed 30 individuals arriving at the scene, attacking them with flares. The situation quickly escalated into clashes.
