Diplomatic sources have confirmed that finding a common date for the High Level Cooperation Council meeting between Greece and Turkey remains pending following Tuesday’s session of the National Foreign Policy Council chaired by Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis.
Sources indicated that the High Level Cooperation Council will proceed according to the established agenda and emphasized that the situation has not deteriorated to the point where communication with Ankara should cease.
They also confirmed that the informal Five-Party Cyprus Talks are scheduled for March 17-18. On the Greece-Cyprus electricity connection, Gerapetritis reaffirmed that international maritime law permits no obstruction.
