Investment opportunities in Greece were presented at an event jointly organized by Turkey’s Economy and Trade Association (ETD) and Greece’s export and investments promotion agency Enterprise Greece at Greece’s General Consulate in Istanbul on Thursday.

Interest in investing in Greece by Turkish business owners was particularly high, given the attendance at the event titled “Exploring New Business Ventures in Greece,” which took place at a packed Sismanogleio Hall in the city.

The main sectors of interest included tourism, real estate, supply chains, cyclical economy, technology and innovation.

Addressing Greek and Turkish business owners, the Greek consul-general in Istanbul, Ambassador Konstantinos Koutras, referred to the achievements of the economic strategy implemented by the Greek government that are recognized internationally.

He underlined that this is based on a series of reforms highlighting Greece’s standing as a destination of international investments, and noted that the boosting of economic cooperation between Turkey and Greece is already bearing fruit in the investment sector.

He also mentioned the significant tourism flows between the two countries, especially following the 10-day visa program implemented for Turkish visitors to several Greek islands.
