
Attica housing market returns are exceeding all expectations, for those who had the liquidity to invest in it five years ago. Based on a relevant analysis by online classifieds platform Spitogatos, between 2019 and the end of 2024, there were increases up to 84% in the average asking prices of homes in Attica and up to 50% in rental rates.
Therefore, if an investor bought an asset five years ago, if they have rented it out they will have recorded a major rise in rental income.
The greater Piraeus area posted the biggest increase with 84%, as the average asking price for a home now stands at 2,483 euros per square meter, from €1,350/sq.m. five years ago.
