Mouzakitis’ Last-Minute Stunner Sends Olympiakos To Greek Cup Semifinals

Teenage sensation Christos Mouzakitis delivered a dramatic last-minute goal to secure Olympiakos a 1-0 victory over archrival Panathinaikos on Wednesday, propelling them into the Greek Cup semifinals against AEK.

Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Olympic Stadium of Athens three weeks ago, Olympiakos hosted the decisive match in Piraeus. The Reds saw an Abdul El Kaabi goal disallowed, and the Moroccan forward later missed a penalty, striking the upright, leaving the tie seemingly headed for extra time.

However, Mouzakitis provided a thrilling conclusion, firing a stunning volley four minutes into stoppage time to seal the win and send Olympiakos through with a 2-1 aggregate score.

Olympiakos will now face AEK in the two-legged semifinals, with the first match set for February 26 in Piraeus and the return leg on April 2 in Nea Filadelfia.

Meanwhile, Asteras Tripolis and OFI will clash in the other semifinal, with the first leg in Tripoli and the second in Iraklio.
