The new OpenBusiness information system went online on Monday, the Ministry of Development announced, to replace the NotifyBusiness information system, which from Monday is accessible only for read-only purposes.
The Development Ministry announced that OpenBusiness simplifies the procedures and drastically reduces costs as well as the installation and startup times for businesses in the private and public sector, while contributing decisively to the improvement of the business environment by reducing bureaucracy and enhancing transparency.
Minister Takis Theodorikakos stated: “The new OpenBusiness system achieves the drastic reduction of bureaucracy, simplification of procedures, reduction of costs and time for starting economic activity, strengthening transparency and improving the business environment.”
He added that “the system constitutes a very important tool for business.
Public administration is becoming easier, more efficient and more modern. The platform supports the licensing process for 57 important economic activities and concerns approximately 2,500 codes.”
