The Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) has announced a 24-hour strike on Friday, February 28, affecting all categories of ships.
The strike will begin at 00:01 on Friday and conclude at midnight the same day.
The seamen’s union plans to issue formal legal notices in the coming days, outlining its stance on the recent tragic train accident at Tempi and raising concerns over unresolved issues regarding the safety of domestic maritime transport.
This action underscores the union’s commitment to highlighting critical safety concerns in Greek transport networks and advocating for necessary improvements to ensure passenger and worker security.
