Athens taxi drivers will stage a work stoppage on Thursday, January 23, according to an announcement from their union, SATA.
Taxis will come to a halt from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. accompanied by a protest march to the ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The union noted its unanimous decision to intensify efforts regarding a new traffic code proposal, particularly advocating for loaded taxis to be permitted to use bus lanes.
