The Hellenic Navy frigate Hydra is currently in the Red Sea, joining the European mission “Shields” to safeguard maritime navigation in the region.
According to an official statement, the mission “welcomed the Greek frigate and its crew, who will play a pivotal role in the operation by protecting the freedom of navigation in the area.”
The “Shields” mission remains “committed to ensuring the freedom of navigation and the safety of ship crews and the goods they transport,” the statement added.
