The four-day official mourning period for the former Prime Minister Costas Simitis, who died Sunday, has affected scheduled festive events, among them a scheduled concert by the Armed Forces bamd, which was to take place at Pedion Areos Athens park Monday.
Attica governor Nikos Hardalias announced Sunday that all festive events at the Christmas Village set up in the park are canceled.
