Authorities issued a 112 emergency alert Sunday warning residents on the island of Rhodes of heavy rainfall and urging them to limit travel.
The alert, requested by the island’s mayor, advised people to follow official instructions as Civil Protection forces were fully mobilized in response to the severe weather.
“Due to heavy rainfall on the island of Rhodes, limit your movements and follow the instructions of authorities,” the message said.
Civil Protection remains on high alert as the storm continues to affect the region.
