Police have arrested two middle school students and a 21-year-old man accused of robbing two elementary school children at a playground in the northern town of Didymoteicho on Sunday.
The suspects allegedly used physical force to steal money from the younger children. The incident escalated Monday when a relative of one victim confronted one of the suspects at a schoolyard, prompting police involvement.
Officers confiscated a knife from the 21-year-old, who was charged with aiding the robbery and is set to appear before a magistrate Thursday. The minors, charged with robbery, were released after their court appearance.
