Four minors, aged 14-17, have been arrested in connection with a series of robberies in Athens.
Acting on intelligence from the Security Department of Kallithea, police apprehended the group in the early hours of Monday, after they had committed multiple thefts the previous day.
On Sunday, the suspects stole a necklace from another minor waiting at a tram stop in Nea Smyrni, before fleeing to Kallithea. They then boarded a bus, where one of them snatched a passenger’s necklace before escaping.
Police tracked the suspects to Kallithea, where they were caught with the jewelry. A fourth suspect was later identified and arrested.
The group is linked to additional robberies in Alimos and Kallithea. The suspects have been handed over to the prosecutor.
