A 76-year-old man, who had been declared missing since November 21, has been found dead after passing through the Kakavia road border crossing from southern Albania into northwestern Greece.
His corpse was discovered by a Pogoni village local approximately 200 meters from the Greek national highway, at the Delvinaki location, state broadcaster ERT reported.
The man, reportedly facing health issues, missed a bus traveling from Kakavia to Ioannina and began his journey on foot, it was reported.
The Life Line service was activated, at the request of the man’s family living in Greece, for his search.
