Police on the island of Lesvos arrested on Monday two 16-year-old students accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a 14-year-old boy.
In addition to the charges against the teenagers, their parents face charges of neglecting minors.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon when the two 16-year-olds assaulted and injured the younger student.
The injured 14-year-old returned home and disclosed the incident to his mother, who reported it to the authorities and took her son to the hospital for treatment.
Shortly after, the two suspects were arrested. They were later released following the filing of formal charges, with a court date set for a later time.
