In his weekly social media post on Sunday, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized that the 2025 state budget will allocate an additional €1.1 billion in measures to support citizens and businesses compared to the 2024 budget.

Describing the budget as “socially oriented,” Mitsotakis noted that it will be debated in Parliament’s plenary session from December 11 to 15.

According to Mitsotakis, the budget includes 12 wage increases and 12 tax reductions, with an economic growth projection of 2.3%, significantly surpassing the EU average.

It also focuses on reducing public debt while introducing measures to boost investments and innovation, address demographic and housing challenges, enhance national defense spending and respond to climate change.

Mitsotakis further underlined that the budget is fiscally responsible and nearly balanced.
