Police have released photographs of the arms cache found in a storeroom of an apartment building in the Pangrati district on Tuesday evening.
The find included three grenades; a submachine gun; six firearms, various gun parts, magazines and cartridges; 25 detonators; 7.5 kg of ammonia dynamite; 3 kg of gelignite, 2 kg of TNT, 220 grams of gunpowder; a slow-burning fuse; 37 kg of ammonia nitrate, a fake license plate and a laptop.

A senior official from the Citizen Protection Ministry earlier told Kathimerini that the arms cache does not appear to be connected to the recent incident in an apartment in Ambelokipi, where a man was killed when the bomb he was handling exploded.
But the official added authorities believe the storage may have been used as a hideout by an earlier group, possibly the Popular Fighters Group (OLA), which ceased operations in 2018.
