Cultural and indoor sports facilities of the Municipality of Athens will remain closed on Friday, February 28, in commemoration of the second anniversary of the Tempe railway disaster.
Moreover, according to an official announcement, the daycare centers of the Athens Municipal Nursery will close at 11 a.m.
Among the venues that will not operate are the Athens Municipal Gallery, Technopolis (except for the playground and Skywalk), the Kypseli Municipal Market, the Athens Municipal Library, as well as swimming pools, gyms and other indoor sports facilities.
However, playgrounds and open-air sports facilities will remain open.
Furthermore, the Municipality of Athens has not scheduled any carnival events for that day.
