Six students were injured on Tuesday when a group of self-styled anti-authoritarians attacked a group of left-wing students inside the campus of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a local news outlet reported.
The serious incident occurred at the Polytechnic School, the Law School and the School of Economics, with students running for cover, according to eye-witnesses who spoke to thestival.gr. The perpetrators threw smoke bombs and caused damage to property.
The same news outlet posted a seconds-long video footage of the attack at the Polytechnic School which shows people in helmets hitting other people with clubs behind a glass window, while screams can be heard. It was not clear what caused the attack.
Police forces have surrounded the School as the investigation into the incident gets underway.
