Environment and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou had a meeting on Tuesday with the Secretary General of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF), Osama Mobarez, discussing international developments and the next steps to further enhance energy security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.
According to Papastavrou, the EMGF is a framework for the collaboration of East Mediterranean countries that aims to increase energy cooperation in the wider region. Greece, which now holds the presidency of the organization, confirms its crucial role in shaping a common regional strategy.
Other participants include Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Italy, Jordan, France and Palestine.
