In anticipation of increased traffic on Greek roads ahead of May Day, the Hellenic Police will implement enhanced measures from Thursday through Sunday across the country’s entire road network, to ensure safe travel.
In addition to measures at the local level, a ban on all trucks with a maximum permissible weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes will also be in effect.
On national highways, for outbound traffic, the truck ban will be in effect on April 30, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on May 1, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For inbound lanes, the ban will be in effect on May 3, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
