A father and son have been arrested on charges of drug trafficking in the greater Corinth area, their drug trafficking network believed to have supplied a large portion of local users, police said.
The suspects, aged 58 and 24, are accused of dealing cocaine, cannabis and other substances in and around Kiato, west of Corinth. Investigators said the pair relied on a 23-year-old associate, who acted as an intermediary and provided support during transactions.
According to police findings, the drugs were stored in a secured location frequently visited by buyers, who placed orders through the intermediary before meeting him at the site.
Searches of the suspects’ homes and the storage facility uncovered nearly three kilograms of raw cannabis, 46 grams of processed cannabis, 40 grams of cocaine, ecstasy pills, precision scales, and equipment used for indoor cannabis cultivation.
Authorities have filed charges against the defendants for forming a criminal organization, violating drug laws, laundering proceeds from illegal activities, and breaching personal data protection legislation.
It remains unclear if the associate has been arrested.
