French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Athens on April 24 and 25, France’s Presidency has confirmed.
The visit is expected for the renewal of the Greek-French Strategic Partnership Agreement on Defense and Security, which expires this year.
Greece is a major buyer of French military systems and weapons, including frigates and fighter jets.
It is also among a group French allies where Paris has said it will allow the temporary deployment of its nuclear-armed aircraft in a new strategy aimed at strengthening Europe’s independence.
