There were no reports of injuries or damage.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter of the quake, which struck at 11.29 a.m., was 33 kilometers south-southwest of Kefalos, the westernmost town of the island, at a depth of more than 100 km.<\/p>\n<p>Greece lies in one of the world\u2019s most seismically active areas, and earthquakes are common.
