In 2024 alone, 559 people lost their lives and 478 were seriously injured in 9,648 accidents.<\/p>\n<p>Developed by the Ministry of Digital Governance in collaboration with the Attica Region and Traffic Police, the platform will be integrated into maps.gov.gr by March. It will use open data to pinpoint accident locations and patterns, helping authorities address road safety hazards such as poor signage and infrastructure defects.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, the system will feature police-recorded accidents, with future access extended to insurance companies, researchers and citizens. Experts believe the platform will provide crucial insights for policy makers.
