In fact, several categories, mainly detergents and cosmetics, recorded price reductions, being the categories on which government measures were focused.<\/p>\n<p>It was another year of strengthening private label products, albeit at a lower rate compared to 2022 and 2023, the two years of intense inflationary pressures.<\/p>\n<p>According to market research firm Circana data, supermarket turnover in 2024 increased by 2.6% from 2023, against an increase of 9.3% in 2023 compared to 2022 and 7.5% in 2022 compared to 2021. However, the sales volume rise in 2024 was higher compared to the sales value growth (2.8%).
