Some 10 meters of a tunnel are drilled per day and the TBM stops at every new station for a few days\u2019 maintenance. A second TBM is expected to reach Evangelismos station at the end of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Currently it is in the Galatsi neighborhood of Athens, having completed nearly 800 meters of the corresponding tunnel. The construction of Line 4 is the largest public works project being implemented currently in Greece, and is budgeted at 1.5 billion euros.<\/p>\n<p>It will add 15 underground stations to the Athens metro system: Alsos Veikou, Galatsi, Elikonos, Kypseli, Courts (Dikastiria), Alexandras, Exarchia, Akadimia, Kolonaki, Evangelismos, Kessariani, Panepistimioupoli, Ilissia, Zografou and Goudi.
