The arrests, made on Tuesday (February 4) by the Security Sub-Division, bring the total number of detained individuals to five.<\/p>\n
According to initial reports, all five suspects are Greek nationals and include three brothers, their father, and a friend.<\/p>\n
The case began unfolding early Tuesday when police arrested a 33-year-old man, accused of throwing the victim down a slope near Pavlokastro after a violent altercation. Reports indicate that while traveling together in a vehicle in the Eglikada area, the suspect and the victim had a heated dispute over a drug-related issue. The suspect allegedly beat the man brutally before driving him to Pavlokastro, where he discarded him while still handcuffed.<\/p>\n
Forensic evidence has linked the suspect\u2019s vehicle to the crime, as investigators discovered bloodstains inside the car.<\/p>\n
The victim remains in extremely critical condition, intubated in the ICU. He was found gravely injured in a landfill by a passing vehicle, which led to the emergency response.<\/p>\n
