Norse Atlantic Airways has announced a new transatlantic route between Athens (ATH), Greece, and Los Angeles (LAX), United States, set to commence on June 3, 2025.<\/h2>\n
The airline, known for its low-cost long-haul services, is launching this route at the start of the busy travel season.<\/p>\n
The route will feature four weekly flights operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, covering a distance of 6,928 miles (11,149 km) with a flight time of approximately 13 hours and 30 minutes. This marks the first direct connection from Athens to Los Angeles and indeed to any US West Coast destination, making it Athens’ longest flight route.<\/p>\n CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, Bj\u00f8rn Tore Larsen, expressed optimism about the new service, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to affordable travel and expanding transatlantic options. Fares are set to start at $269 (259 EUR), with both economy and premium class seats available, although meals will not be included.<\/p>\n Previously, Norse Atlantic launched its first Athens to United States route with nonstop flights to New York’s JFK in 2024. The airline continues to expand its network, with a new route between Stockholm (ARN) and Bangkok (BKK) starting in October 2025.
