The project, initially conceived as a two-lane road, has evolved into a full four-lane highway, reflecting its importance as a key transport link in Cyprus.<\/p>\n<p>The Poli-Paphos highway has been under discussion for years, but tangible progress has been slow. The project is now set to be built in phases, with the first section (Agia Marinouda to Stroumbi) expected to begin construction this year after a tender is awarded by September.
