{"id":25153,"date":"2026-11-07T05:59:43","date_gmt":"2026-11-07T05:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/in-greece.com\/index.php\/2026\/11\/07\/metlen-revenue-jumps-21-to-a-record-e6-21-billion\/"},"modified":"2026-11-07T05:59:43","modified_gmt":"2026-11-07T05:59:43","slug":"metlen-revenue-jumps-21-to-a-record-e6-21-billion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in-greece.com\/index.php\/2026\/11\/07\/metlen-revenue-jumps-21-to-a-record-e6-21-billion\/","title":{"rendered":"Metlen Revenue Jumps 21% to a Record \u20ac6.21 Billion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-first=\"A\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ATHENS, November 2026 \u2014 Metlen revenue for the first nine months of 2026 rose 21% to a company record of \u20ac6.21 billion, as the Athens-listed group pressed ahead in energy, infrastructure and critical metals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.metlen.com\/media\/ghfdmqcf\/metlen-trading-update-9m-2026_eng.pdf\">Metlen\u2019s nine-month trading update<\/a>, total sales reached \u20ac6.212 billion, up from \u20ac5.115 billion in the same period of 2025. Energy remained the main growth driver.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those energy sales came in at \u20ac4.95 billion, up 22%. By comparison, infrastructure and concessions rose the fastest, by 50%, to \u20ac534 million. Metals sales grew 6% to \u20ac728 million.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Metlen revenue guidance stays intact<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even so, the group faced operational challenges in power generation and volatile energy markets. An extended outage kept its largest thermal H-Class generator offline for 44 days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gct-readmore\">Read more: Greece steps in as Europe tries to loosen China\u2019s monopoly on strategic metals<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repairs finished and the plant returned to full operation on 12 October 2026. Against that backdrop, Metlen kept its full-year guidance unchanged.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company still <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.londonstockexchange.com\/en\/news\/article\/MTLN\/nine-months-2026-trading-update\/792d-3c-94-27-34-44bd88\">reaffirmed FY 2026 EBITDA guidance<\/a> of \u20ac1.00\u20131.15 billion. It also repeated its medium-term EBITDA target of \u20ac1.92\u20132.08 billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Executive Chairman Evangelos Mytilineos said Metlen continues to execute its strategy with consistency. He pointed to a diversified business model and the delivery of long-term value.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Overall, Metlen revenue held up despite the power-plant disruption, which underpinned the decision to leave guidance intact.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gas, gallium and storage moves<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, Metlen is accelerating expansion in infrastructure, natural gas and critical metals. It earlier signed a five-year Petronas LNG deal for six cargoes a year from 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commercial momentum in gallium also continued, after a landmark offtake agreement with a major US technology company. Further offtake deals with a Japanese chemicals counterparty are in train.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the group expanded energy storage, with major BESS projects inaugurated in Greece and Italy. Greece has also opened Eastern Europe\u2019s largest energy storage facility.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">METKA\u2019s push as a standalone infrastructure platform under the new METKA Group includes a review of a potential Euronext Athens listing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Metlen is dual-listed in Athens and London under the ticker MTLN.
