The Pan-Arcadian Association of NSW has marked its milestone 70th anniversary in spectacular fashion, donating a phenomenal $80,000 to ten charitable, medical, and community organisations during a landmark gala dinner in Sydney.

The glittering celebration, which took place on Saturday, 31 October 2026, at the prestigious Le Montage boutique venue in Lilyfield, brought together approximately 300 members of the Greek-Australian community, prominent business leaders, and cultural figures to honour seven decades of heritage, solidarity, and philanthropy.

Established in 1956 by Arcadian migrants determined to preserve their rich cultural roots while contributing to their newly adopted homeland, the Association has grown into one of the most respected Hellenic organisations in Australia.

Under the dynamic leadership of Association President Eleni Lianos, the 70th-anniversary gala not only looked back at a proud legacy of cultural preservation but firmly reinforced the organisation’s deep-rooted commitment to broader Australian philanthropic causes.

“Tonight is not just a celebration of our history, but a reflection of our core values,” Mrs Lianos said, addressing the vibrant crowd. “Arcadians have always stood by those in need, and it is our privilege to mark 70 years by giving back to the community that has given us so much.”

The defining highlight of the evening was the distribution of the $80,000 fund, which was divided among ten distinct organisations spanning critical medical research, community support services, and cultural preservation.

The major donations reflect the Association’s multifaceted philanthropic vision, supporting vital healthcare institutions alongside grassroots community groups that assist vulnerable individuals across New South Wales.

The festive evening featured a curated program of traditional Arcadian music, dance performances, and moving tributes to the pioneering foundation members of 1956, whose early vision paved the way for the Association’s modern-day success.

As the Pan-Arcadian Association of NSW steps into its eighth decade, its landmark 70th-anniversary gala stands as a powerful testament to the enduring strength of the Greek diaspora in Sydney—proving that the spirit of Arcadia remains as generous, vibrant, and united as ever.
