The Notis Sfakianakis birthday falls on Monday 2 November 2026. The Greek singer turns 67, one year after Kili, the mother of his children, died on the same date.

Greek media marked the day with tributes to a career that made him one of the country’s best-selling artists. However, many also noted that the singer now lives far from the stage and the spotlight.

For his fans, the date now carries a different weight. Kili Sfakianaki, whom he married in 1991, died on his birthday in 2025 at the age of 62. She had faced serious health problems. The couple separated in 2019 but stayed on good terms.

Six months later, in May 2026, the family suffered another loss. His sister, Polyanna Sfakianaki, died after a long battle with cancer. Her funeral was held on Kos, the island where she was born.

Read more: Hellenic Navy Band Plays Mazonakis Hits as Thessaloniki Sings Along

Born Panagiotis Sfakianakis in Heraklion, Crete, on 2 November 1959, he moved to Kos as a child. Kili chose to stay out of the public eye and devoted herself to the family.

Also in 1991, he released his first album, Proti Fora. Soon afterwards, his shows at Bio Bio in Athens drew growing crowds. He became one of the biggest names of the 1990s nightlife scene.

Each Notis Sfakianakis birthday brings back memories of that decade. His 1994 album Notioanatolitika tou Kosmou included “O Aetos” (The Eagle), the song that became his signature hit.

The family had already known grief. His brother, Giorgos, died of cancer, and his 2004 album Me Agapi O,ti Kaneis reflected his mourning. As a result, this Notis Sfakianakis birthday arrives after several difficult years.

Other albums followed, including 5o Vima (1996), Oi Notes Einai 7psyhes (1998) and the live album XXX Enthimion (1999). He has sold more than five million records. Since then, he has stepped away from nightclub stages, although rumours of a comeback surface regularly.

Whether that break is permanent remains unclear. Even so, this Notis Sfakianakis birthday shows that his voice still holds a firm place in Greek popular music. Fans continue to send him their wishes.

A Notis Sfakianakis birthday tribute
