Greece has opened online applications for its Home Renovation program, starting with vacant homes. The \u20ac500 million scheme forms part of the NSRF 2021-2027 funding plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n Applications opened on Thursday 29 October and close on 11 January 2027, the Ministry of National Economy and Finance<\/a> said. Owners apply through a dedicated online platform<\/a> run by the Technical Chamber of Greece.<\/p>\n The scheme gives grants to low- and middle-income households. Owners must renovate a property and carry out moderate energy upgrades. The aim is to bring the home back into use as a main residence.<\/p>\n Afterwards, the owner may live in the renovated home or rent it out. Applications for occupied homes will open in a later phase.<\/p>\n Read more: Greece Offers Housing Renovation Grants of Up to \u20ac36,000<\/p>\n Grants cover 70 to 95 per cent of eligible costs, up to \u20ac36,000 for renovation and energy works. A further \u20ac2,500 is available for support services.<\/p>\n Applicants must already hold an Eligibility Certificate for the home. Owners log in with their personal TAXISnet codes and submit everything online.<\/p>\n Each application must include an Intervention Plan. This sets out the proposed works and their cost, along with the required declarations and documents.<\/p>\n A technical adviser is not compulsory, the ministries said. Still, they recommend one to help prepare the plan properly.<\/p>\n Full rules appear in the official implementation guide, published on 20 October on the PEKA program website<\/a>. GCT covered that guide when the government unveiled its wider housing measures.<\/p>\n Authorities have issued about 94,000 eligibility certificates so far, according to figures from Social Cohesion and Family Minister Domna Michailidou. However, only about 14,000 relate to vacant homes.<\/p>\n Reports say about \u20ac200 million of the Home Renovation program goes only to vacant properties.
