The project, considered a game-changer for Poli Chrysochous in the island\u2019s northwest, promises to bring significant economic and social benefits to the region.<\/p>\n<p>The project had originally been estimated at 53.5 million euros but the budget has now been scaled down to \u20ac45 million to ensure its feasibility. Despite earlier delays tied to funding concerns, the government, alongside the ports authority, has prioritized this expansion, which is expected to enhance the area\u2019s appeal as a hub for tourism and coastal activity.<\/p>\n<p>Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades will visit Poli Chrysochous on Friday to meet with local stakeholders and reaffirm the government\u2019s commitment to the project. Discussions will also touch on the long-delayed construction of the Paphos-Poli Chrysochous road, which is now moving forward with revised tender documents.
