{"id":236,"date":"2024-11-13T20:00:17","date_gmt":"2024-11-13T20:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/in-greece.com\/index.php\/2024\/11\/13\/poll-finds-nds-lead-over-pasok-narrows-to-7-5-points\/"},"modified":"2024-11-13T20:00:17","modified_gmt":"2024-11-13T20:00:17","slug":"poll-finds-nds-lead-over-pasok-narrows-to-7-5-points","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in-greece.com\/index.php\/2024\/11\/13\/poll-finds-nds-lead-over-pasok-narrows-to-7-5-points\/","title":{"rendered":"Poll finds ND\u2019s lead over PASOK narrows to 7.5 points"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n<p>A new opinion poll has found that the ruling New Democracy\u2019s lead over socialist PASOK is now down to a single digit, with SYRIZA ranking fifth.<\/p>\n<p>The survey, conducted by Opinion Poll for Action24, placed New Democracy at 23.7% and PASOK in second with 16.2%, a difference of 7.5 points.<\/p>\n<p>Following them was nationalist Greek Solution at 7.7%, the Communist KKE at 7.5% and SYRIZA on 5.2%.<\/p>\n<p>Anti-establishment Course of Freedom was on 5%, right-wing Voice of Reason on 3.8% and religious nationalist Niki on 2.4%, which is below the parliamentary threshold of 3%.<\/p>\n<p>The poll found that PASOK\u2019s Nikos Androulakis is the most popular political leader, with 45.6% of respondents viewing him in a positive light, followed by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis (40.1%) and the KKE\u2019s Dimitris Koutsoumbas (40%).<\/p>\n<p>However Mitsotakis was deemed most suitable for the job of prime minister by 30.8% of respondents, followed by Androulakis (9.5%).<\/p>\n<p>Respondents identified inflation, the economy, the health system and wages and pensions are the main problems facing them.<\/p>\n<p>Over three-quarters (77.5%) believe SYRIZA will disintegrate further.<\/p>\n<p>Among SYRIZA supporters, Sokratis Famellos was deemed the most suitable to take on the leadership mantle with 26.2%, followed by Pavlos Polakis with 20.7%.
