CERA still holds the key to the developments, with all sides waiting until Friday when things will become clear.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n<p>The final phase of an international tender for a framework agreement to lay down subsea cables for the electrical interconnections of the Dodecanese and Northeast Aegean islands has started, as announced by the Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE) on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The three companies participating in the tender (Fulgor, Nexans Norway and Prysmian Powerlink) have been invited by ADMIE to submit their binding financial and technical offers for the project.<\/p>\n<p>The contract will be assigned to the best offer, from a financial point of view. The initial budget of the project amounts to 1.717 billion euros (plus VAT) and the expected duration of the framework agreement is set at six years from the signing of the contract.<\/p>\n<p>ADMIE proceeded for the first time with this specific tendering practice due to the high demand for submarine cables for interconnection projects at an international level.<\/p>\n<p>The Dodecanese islands of Kos, Rhodes and Karpathos will be connected to the mainland system via Corinth, in two phases.
