Ami Yogev, 46, was last heard from on September 20, when he contacted his mother during his ascent of Greece\u2019s highest mountain.<\/p>\n
His body was reportedly discovered in the Mavrolakkos area at an altitude of approximately 1,800 metres, in rugged terrain that is difficult to access.<\/p>\n
According to Israeli media, a group of Israeli volunteers searching for Yogev located his body while working alongside firefighters involved in the search operation.<\/p>\n
Two disaster response units and a foot patrol from the Litochoro Fire Service subsequently took part in recovering his body from the mountainous area.<\/p>\n
