Decisions would rest with university authorities following a thorough evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>An Education Ministry official pushed back at the proposal, describing it as inconsistent with the government\u2019s stance. Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis noted widespread public support for the law\u2019s strict enforcement but has indicated a willingness to review select cases.<\/p>\n<p>Athens University data shows 66% of overextended students are inactive, while 33% participate in academic requirements. The Senate\u2019s suggestion aims to address this disparity and reduce unjust exclusions.
